Non-residential buildings in Vantaa
Vantaa has 276 educational buildings, 351 retail buildings, 210 office buildings and 73 healthcare buildings. Many of them date from the same decades as the residential blocks in the suburbs, so they are due for renewal at the same time — but a different rule applies to them than to housing companies. A building other than a residential building, whose heating or air conditioning system has a nominal power above 290 kilowatts, must have an automation and control system, and for buildings already in use the deadline was 31 December 2024.
